Reminders and Syncing

Bought a 51v last winter when my 50v motherboard crashed.

Reminders have NEVER worked on it. About 4 months ago, it stopped sync'ing as well. I have Magic Button on all the time and volume off.

Last week, turned the volume on and got a bunch of reminder sounds - no visual reminders. BUT I was able to at least get my computer to recognize my 51v though AS immediately crashed and couldn't sync.

It's not a hardware problem as I can get my wife's 50v seen as a guest - though not sync'd on her profile.

Ideas, thoughts?

Running a Win XP machine.
