Sync fails with calendar

I recently bought my wife a new PC with Vista Home Premium. Her 51v connects just fine and will sync everything except for the calendar. It fails on the following entry every time:

The following appointments failed to synchronize from the desktop:
1. Subject: Discovery Walk
Time: 3/4/07 9:30 AM
Duration: 60 minutes
There is not enough free memory on your device to synchronize information. Close programs that are running to free

I've reset both the PPC and the PC.
I've changed the sync settings to every setting from 6 months, to 2 weeks.
I've deleted the calendar entry on both the PPC and PC.

Yet is still fails with this error even though the entry is not even there anymore. Any ideas?

If we are talking MS-Outlook, then one reply on a Forum was to create a new folder based on Calendar and copy all existing Calendar items to it, delete the existing Calendar items in Calendar Folder and sync to this now empty folder. Introduce the items back into the old empty Calender folder and see if this cures the problem.
I still have problems syncing WMDC and my X50v. Email is fine but Calendar, Notes and Tasks, not a hope! It worked once with Notes but then failed to sync thereafter...

Thanks for the suggestion, but I was able to resolve the issue by updating WMDC to 6.1.
