I hard reset my Axim not long ago and today, for the first time, I tried to open a WMA file, and TCPMP reported that it cant play WMA files...? I didn't have a problem with it before, but perhaps I lost the codec accidentally when I reformatted my Laptop. I know it could do it before because I have a TCPMP playlist of only WMA files...
Anyone know where I Can get the WMA plugin for TCPMP?

Blackberry 7510 + operamini + $10 boost mobile = unlimited internet on BB w/o $40 BIS plan! (no email though)
Open up TCPMP on your Pocket PC. Tap Options > Settings > Select Page > File Associations
Place a checkmark in the box next to Windows Media Audio files (WMA)

That's not the problem, when I try to open one from the File-open menu I get the error "Player: Audio codec (Windows Media Audio) not supported by the player!" So I assume I missed a download for a codec...
EDIT: @ jeulie: I dont have a Windows Audio or WMA option on the file associations page

hmmmm. sounds like you are missing the codec. Have you checked the TCPMP page for all the codecs there? I am not sure which codec includes WMA - I have them all installed on my pocket pc.

I was under the impression that TCPMP's pages all vanished when the company released Core Player (which is pay). I'll go check in that case *embarased*

a websearch revealed that WMA support was pulled due to lisencing... so I'll be spending tonight rewriting all my TCPMP playlists to use WMP... Thanks for your help though, everyone!

I you hard reset your device and if you still cannot play wma with TCPMP after a clean install, I would guess that you are running a x51v with an Hacked Rom.
Wow, sorry to hear that about TCPMP pulling .wma support; I'm lucky, I had mine installed for the last 9 months and it still plays .wma files on my x51v. So I'm guessing if you have an older download sitting on your PC perhaps you can still get the .wma playback? I save all of my .cab files and installer downloads in a folder for my Axim, just in case.
Actually, I think makuu hit the nail on the head. I believe I am using the latest version of TCPMP on my hw6925 and don't have this problem.
Ashton, aren't you running one of these cooked ROMs on your pocket pc? If so, it would be interesting to get confirmation that you started having this problem after you installed the ROM on your pocket pc.

I talked with a tech at Dell recently about the new wm6 Axim, he could not give me to much info on the all new wm6 Axim slated to be released later this fall, other than to say it would be released, but he had no other details. I want to know if anybody else has any details, rumors on this new wm6 Axim. I believe this Axim is suppose to have 3g and wifi, so anything you got on it let me know.....! Sorry I did not mean to post tthis here!

Sorry to hear about your problems. I just hard reset my device yesterday AND today. Sprite Backup v6 is royally giving me a pain with my x51v and causing a lot of stability problems...
Well I just placed some wma's in my device (as a test) and it plays fine. I have v0.72rc1 and no problems whatsoever. I thought it used the WMA codec already built-in to the device because I don't have the plugin for it (unless it's built-in to TCPMP main program). Then again, maybe not, because it can't play WMA-DRM files. On a side note, I use Pocket Tunes only because it has WMA-DRM support. Mainly have TCPMP to play videos only.
@ makuu/Julie: Yes, I'm running the Football WM6 ROM on my X51v. Do you think WM6 is over-riding TCPMP and not letting it play WMA files?
It's not a major problem for me, I mainly need TCPMP to play my MP4s I made of videos, I converted all my playlists lastnight to WMP, and am not having problems with it (though I detest the playlist editor in WMP, I find it easier to just simply write my own ASX files (all they are is HTML))
