Axim digitizer alignment issues

I know similar problems has been posted here before, but bear with me.

My Dell Axim X51 has been doing the heartbeat thing when you try to draw a line. Since it is out of warranty, I can't get a new one. I tried the credit card and pressing thing, and they didn't help. So I am wondering if I get a replacement digitizer online, would it fix the problem?

On another thread http://www.aximsite.com/boards/x50-h...-problems.html I seen this problem discussed, and people suggested using a creditcard under the benzel to clear out the dust or to press the benzel right to the right of the power button, they didn't work. So I am just wondering if replacing the digitizer would help.
