WPA-PSK (TKIP) - big issue here...can't connection

Axim x51v.
A01 device revision (can be seen in lower right corner under the battery)
A12 ROM default.

1. Without any updates/fixes - can't connect to any WPA-PSK (TKIP) networks. It just says CONNECTING and stays like this forever. I tried to disable WLAN Power saving modes (both of them) but that did nothing. Cannot connect with Odyssey Client either. Non-secured wireless networks work fine.
2. Colorado Update (from Dell's site) - can't connect to any WPA-PSK (TKIP) networks. I tried to disable WLAN Power saving modes (both of them) but that did nothing. Cannot connect with Odyssey Client either. Non-secured wireless networks work fine.

Please, post your device revision, ROM, Dell Update usage and whether WPA-PSK (TKIP) wireless network work for your through DELL UTILITY or ODYSSEY CLIENT.

Also, are there any other utilities that work like Dell WLAN Utility and help you connect to Wireless networks (besides Odyssey) ???

but does your own network work with your Axim (i.e., can you connect with security disabled)?

People often assume that since their laptop can connect to their home router that the Axim should too but the PPC is much more limited in it's capabilities. Look at the Check these first part of the Troubleshooting section of the WiFi Guide for possible solutions.

Just wondering - are you trying to use this at home or in a business environment that has a Cisco wireless infrastructure?

It doesn't work anywhere with WPA-PSK (TKIP). I tried Belkin and LinkSys routers at home and my university's network.

My university router is working WITH Cisco network, but the connection is regular. My laptop connects via MS Windows XP wireless configuration...

I checked the guide and all seems fine...I don't even know.

Tried Odyssey? I've found that with some WPA-PSK solutions, it's the only way that things work. I've had no issues with routers when I had a chance to tinker with their settings, including making sure they were broadcasting B and G-mode, as well as checking to see if the basic rate was set over 2MB; for some reason going higher seems to kill PDA's and other handheld devices, but lets laptops connect just fine.

I cannot speak to the X51V, but my X50V running WM2003SE connects to my home WPA/PSK-TKIP 802.11B\G network just fine (in B-mode, of course).
