I think my Axim x51v is dying. This is a new thread with a new issue...
I can't turn Wireless ON. Battery is at 100% but whether I use wireless button or enable it via Dell Utility - no go. It keeps being OFF.
This is after a hard reset with A12 ROM.... WTF!
no backing up at all... just finished with screen assigning and straight into Connection > Dell Utility and I press TURN ON and it loads for 3 seconds and REMAINS turned off...
And wireless button turns on BLUETOOTH instead of Wireless for whatever reason...
Did you do a restore from backup after the hard reset? If so, do another hard reset and try your wireless again BEFORE restoring.

Well, this may seem like a stupid reply, but it has messed me up in the past...
Is your Axim set to flight mode? Tap the connectivity icon up by the clock and a window will drop down. Try changing the flight mode off OR if you have played with the different Bluetooth stacks, try turning the flight mode ON (which is what I had to do)
I don't know if that will help, but it is a quick and easy thing to try.
Good Luck!

Yeah the flight mode was on!
Why?! Why is it automatically on after I reflashed to A12?

With wireless supposedly turned on (with the button on the left side), tap on the BT icon and turn BT off, then tap on the WLAN utility icon and turn WLAN on. Now when you turn off wireless and turn it back on again it should wake up WiFi and leave BT asleep.

Odd... even though I turned flight mode off and WiFi now can be turned ON, instead of searching for network it asks if I need to connect to WORK or INTERNET and I choose INTERNET or WORK and press OK but nothing happens...it doesn't look for wireless networks...

Dude... you have had nothing but trouble with this ROM. Don't you think it is time to reflash it to one that actually works.
