Wierd problems that's been creeping up...

So whenever I turn put my Axim in sleep mode to save battery, my Skype closes and I have to re-open the program. This has never happened before until recently. Is this a Skype issue or is something else affecting it?

Also, I've been having a problem with my wi-fi. If I'm cruising across campus or from home to campus or whatever, my Axim won't really connect to the closest access point. I have to restart the wireless adapter every time. This is extra frustrating when you mainly rely on wi-fi for livelyhood measures. It always used to connect to whatever access point was available, but now it doesn't. It says it's connected, but I have no bars (all white, no green or yellow), and there is no actual connectivity.

Could these problems be related? Possible solutions?

Can't tell you about the first one but I think the wifi driver update that came out around last December was supposed to address the roaming wifi issue. I've stayed away from it since it broke my home wifi connection but possibly others can chime in on this.

@ jova: I cant help with skype, but I've had issues with my axim "connecting" to access points that are miles away... I've found that if I go into the list of wifi acces points and delete all but the one I want, it will connect much faster and more reliably, however, I use mine in an area with only 1 AP avalible at a time, so this may or may not help your problem.

Yup, that's what I have found to work for me as well. I used to have a ton of APs listed and if it wouldn't connect to mine right off, it would then go down the list. Since I've deleted all but my AP, it has no other choice but to connect to mine.

YMMV
