The CTRL FN- Green- FN Blue sequence makes the keyboard discoverable to the axim. When that sequence is pressed a small green light should start blinking. When blinking, run the Stowaway keyboard program, follow the prompts and it should get to a page where it looks for a keyboard and then it should find it. It will ask you to enter a passcode on both the axim and the keyboard. I'm sorry I don't have the axim in front of me to know exactly what the pages say. This pairs the keyboard to tha axim and then you are good to go.

Mine usually takes a couple of seconds of holding the buttons before the light starts blinking

Also, with A12 (x51V), I found that after the keyboard was paired it would take up to 60 seconds or more from that time forth to start up after hitting the keys to innitiate the connection. With the Football A17 it is instantanious however. So, you may have to wait longer for the first action if you are using A12. Once the bt connection is activated between the two all is well. I just found that it took a long time to start using the device with A12. I used to assume that no connection was being made in the beginning and then try to pair it up again by hitting CTRL FN- Green- FN Blue. That just compounds the problem because it resets the keyboard and you are essentially starting over each time you hit the combination. Once the pairing takes place you should be paired up just by hitting a few letter keys on the keybooard while the bt is enabled on the Axim. No light will flash but the bt connection will be starting up. Wait about a minute then hit the keys again you should be up and running.
