A workaround to a problem

Hi, I have not posted here for some time although I do visit to keep myself up to date.

Anyway I was having an odd problem with my x51v, in that my Ax would hang if I tried to either clear the PIE cache - which I have not movec at all, and when I tried to use the WM5 backup utilty.

Well, I don't know if other Ax owners have been having the same problem, although I did read about someone with a WM5 mobile phone not being able to clear his internet cache. Well, I have found a little work around, which works.

After soft-resetting many times and just about going for a hard-reset, I decided to up my Ax's cpu speed to the full 624mhz and it worked. I cleared the cache fine and was able to complete a full backup for the first time in ages. I also left my Ax in its cradle for the backup.

Hope this post may be of help to others with similar problems.

It seems as though the Auto cpu setting is not able to adjust efficiently enough for cpu intensive tasks, or the Axims memory is too full or two slow to allow the cpu to run properly.
