Too bad you didn't take a picture of the replacement, I would have liked to see what it looks like. You'll need to be very careful if both halves of the new digitizer are plastic (the bottom should be thicker than the top surface) since you can press it against the actual LCD surface and possibly damage it.

The plastic is thick and its elevated enough so there will be no problem with that.
The picture... well imagine regular digitizer BUT with thinner frame sizes and when properly seated on top of the display, the connector is off by good 4mm (lower that the board). In addition that connector has a plastic part (that goes inside the Axim connector on the board) thats TOO bad. You rip it off, cut it, and work from there.
Its kind of ghetto, but it works and its on the inside so the final product looks A+!
