HTC Task Manager - how do AUTO-CLOSE programs

I downloaded and tried HTC Task manager which adds a function of turning off programs when you press the X button (rather than minimizing it).

However, it doesn't work with A12 or A17/M17 ROMs.

Does anyone know a program or a registry setting that CLOSES the program when I press X?

Actually I got 1.50 version to work.

However, the whole system runs SLOWER because it takes time to close the app, right?

Do any of the above work better than HTC Task Manager?

Magic Button always worked fine for me, but I now have iLauncher, so I don't need MB any more. As far as whether MB works any better than the HTC version, I don't know since I haven't tried it.

Note really, it should take longer to open the app the next time... you really only need to CLOSE the app if you are running out of application memory, otherwise minimizing should be sufficient, especially if it is something you may be using again soon

Thing is.... with HTC X-Button 1.50 (because 2.0 has bugs and does not close programs like its supposed to!) installed and enabled the system overall is 500% slower if not more. Everything takes longer to load, close, work with...

But Magic Button works WAY faster.

I used to use Magic Button (free), but spent a few bucks on Wisbar Lite; I really Like Wisbar Lite (the full version is a hog).
