I think this link provides a link to the ROM version for this model that supports a 4GB SDHC card.
Support for 4 GB SDHC on Axim X51v (WM5)

This is the direct link to makuu's M17 ROM update which only works with 4gb sdhc only.
http://www.aximsite.com/boards/x50-x...u-3-5-2-a.html
Although it has been reported to work with 8gb sdhc, there will be read/write errors with it past the 4gb limit.

As long as you are not in violations of city, state or federal law, then you are NOT doing anything illegal or unauthorized. I don't believe their is any law against having a SDHC Card on your Axim. Nor is their any policy against discussing the SDHC Card on this web site to my knowledge. I love my 16GB SDHC Card on my X51v. I also love my Axim running with the power of superman (faster than a speeding bullet and able to leap over tall buildings in a single bound with machine like precision). We all know what it takes to run a 16GB SDHC CARD on the X51v, so we are not going there. If you have any positive input concerning the SDHC Card, please fell free to voice your opinion. Example...ect, some people might want to know where they can get the cheapest price on the 16GB SDHC Card or when will the 32GB SDHC Card go on sale.............ect!:approve:

No offense, but seriously, how old are you? you sound like a 5yr old taunting his younger brother with a candy bar... I'm guessing maturity just isn't your strong point. Or that guy who is told not to cross a line so you don't but you do go ahead and dance around right at the edge of the line doing some silly dance to keep attention on yourself... I'm really surprised that no one has said anything about your ridiculous behavior yet... how about I steal your car and put rims and headers and exhaust on it and call it mine cause it's better than what yours used to be? (I think you know what I'm referring to here, so please try to keep the childish comebacks to a minimum here)

Newegg.com - 114.98 (includes shipping cost of 4.99) for a Adata 16GB. Adata is a quality brand haven't had any problems with their products yet.

what I want to know is why does having CF and SD card installed in x51v eat up 5MB of RAM? this is crazy to me... maybe it's normal... but seems high.

It's a Filesys issue - the more space the Axim has to address on a card, the more RAM that filesys.exe has to take up in order to handle it. It happens with the regular WM5 ROM - as an experiment, I suggest you take both the SD and CF cards out of your Axim and do a soft-reset. You should end up with about 30-31MB of RAM free, easy, barring other Today plugins. Try again with an SD and CF card in there of low capacity, you'll have somewhat less (28-29MB), and with 4GB SD cards and an 8GB CF card, you'll probably end up with > 27MB free on startup.
