SDHC driver for original aku 2.3.1 ROM

Is there any way that this driver can be reconfigured to recognize the full 8GB or 16GB on a card once it is loaded? In other words, can the driver be reconfigured, so that the size is accurately displayed when you check the card size on your device, no matted what size (4, 8, or16GB) card is inserted, and all files can be handled, and edited at will?

So where did this end up as applied to X50V W2003SE models? Can the device see (use files stored that extend farther into the memory than 4MG) more than 4Mg? If so, how much?

Well,
I got my SDHC 8GB class 6 Trancent and download the HTC SDHC's driver but not luck.
It cannot recognize my 8G SDHC card.
When the HTC 'sdriver installed, it will not recognize the standard SD car neither.
Hope some one could find solution to this.

I downloaded this driver; it is from HTC.
It installs correctly in my Axim X50 but standard SD card will no longer be readed and the 8GB SDHC class 6 card can not be detected neither.

I'll try to continue my quest.

If someone has successfully done it on X50, please post your experience and links if any.

I would like to report that my ax51v works with the sandisk ultra II SDHC card perfectly!!

Doesn't work on X30 A02. Can't read SD and SDHC cards. Makes the slot useless.

Thanks for posting this patch! I have an X51v and was unable to use a Sandisk 4GB SDHC card that I have for my camera. I installed the patch and now it is working perfectly. I have tested 1GB SD card and it is fine too (just in case previous comments put someone off using this).

Throwing in my 2cents.

X51v running A12, with the sdhc driver from earlier in this thread.
Adata Turbo SDHC 16gb card

When plugged in fresh out of the package, memory applet shows approx 3gb free.

I copied 14gb of divx movies (approx 350-600mb each) to the card in 2 folders, the first folder, I can see all the files, the second folder I can see NONE of the files.

Memory applet now shows approx 1gb in use and 2gb free.

In first folder only the first 2-3gb or so of the files are playable, the rest give an error "file not found" in tcpmp. OTOH, bringing up the properties of the file in resco explorer shows the correct info, name, size etc.

Back on the desktop, ALL files playback fine.

Next step is to load A17 rom and see if results any different.

I have one of the sd to cf adaptors on order from ebay (gigacity) and will be testing that out also.

UPDATE 2 - on the unmentionable, all works fine, all 16gb and files accessible. I wonder if it would be possible to backport that support into A17.

On my x51v, I have an ADATA 16gb SDHC working ok. All files are accessible so far and I have about 10gb used up on it. I am using Lennys updated football rom

No that's not possible. This SDHC driver is the same than the one on M17, it's working for SDHC up to 4GB on WM5. There is an other driver that has been tested working fine on 16GB SDHC, but it won't work on WM5, it's only working on WM6.
