Well, the 16gb shdc card I tried, worked fine up to about 4-6gb or so. Beyond that none of the video files I had would play in tcpmp, same problem with any other file types. I eventually just got the cf sdhc adaptor from Gigacity as noted in another thread here on aximsite, currently I have a 2gb sdcard and a 16gb in the cf sdhc adaptor. The only problem with the cf sdhc adaptor from Gigacity is that it has no lip to help you get it out of the cf slot. Luckily my Sharp Zaurus SL-5500's came with a sticker just for this problem.
Next plan is to get a 32gb sdhc card and hope that a legal version of WM6 will eventually be available for the X51v, so I could have 64gb on the X51v (32gb sdhc and 32gb cf).
There will never be a legal version of WM6 available since the HP 211 is now available. I have a SDHC 16gb card and a CF 16gb card installed, recognized, full memory available for use and working in my X51V but not with WM5 of course.
Well, if the community can get it together and purchase a license for the sdk, there is very much the possibility of a legal wm6 version, see this thread
Mind you this has stagnated for a couple of months, but it IS doable.
And if you are willing to trust a 3rd party rom, more power to you. I use my X51v for business use and have VPN tunnels and other confidential software and data on it, so there is NO way I'd trust a 3rd party rom at this point.
I have the RX1955 and I used the "patch" provided to use SDHC....I installed and all went well. However, I noticed a few days later that the time and date are wrong and no matter how many times I change it it goes to some weird dates and times. One day it will say 1/1/2039, next day it will say 3/12/1957 and so on.
Is this a known problem? Did I install the patch wrong? I installed it onto the RX1955's memory.

Sorry, this is a recent issue and there is a patch on the HP wesite for this exact problem.
Just to let people know. Received a replacement Corsair SDHC Class 2 4GB card for my 2GB SD Card.
Axim x51 couldnt read the 4GB card, but once installed the SDHC.CAB from makuu it now works a treat.
Thanks to all
Hi - I have an Axim X51v and just purchased a 4 GB SD card, waiting for it to arrive. Also purchased an 8 GB Compact Flash card, but it seems to read/recognize that card, except that available is around 7.4 GB, not sure why.
However will I need that SDHC.CAB from makuu to have it recognized by my X51v? Could you post the web link to makuu? Any info you can provide would be appreciated in case I need a file to have the 4 GB card recognized.
I can't seem to be able to load this driver? I opened the zip folder and tried to drag the cab file to the axim, in multiple locations, but it will not transfer. I also dragged the whold zip folder to the axim but when i try to open it i get a message saying i need to run a program.....
