First, welcome to aximsite. Lots of good info and asistance here. :approve:

I don't believe there's a maximum CF card size. I have a 2Gb in mine.

Your ROM (firmware) S/B on AO5. To check it go to Start>settings>system>system information.

I'm on WM2003 and plan to keep it. WM2005 has not been nice to some PP. Also, use the search function when you have a question. More likely than not, someone has already asked it.

Again - Welcome.

Welcome to the Forums. Search is your friend.

16 GB is pretty big. I have a SanDisk 1 GB CF and a 2 GB SD. No problems. Most of my programs are stored on the CF, data and stuff on the SD.

Don't waste your time with WM5. Stick with WM 2003. It's mainly a hardware issue on the X50. I just don't think it's compatible. You will find plenty of posts/hacks to keep WM5 running on an 50, but it's not worth it.

That is, until someone finally finds out how to solve the compaction thread in filesys.exe problem (which I think eventually will happen). I've seen various people running 16gb CF cards on their axims, so I think it would would work.
