Output widescreen resolutions with VGA out cable?

Hi, all! I just received my VGA out cable and I'm playing around with my monitors at home. I searched on the forums and it seems like Nyditot is the way to go for changing resolutions. However, I didn't come across any thread about outputting widescreen or custom resolutions from the VGA cable- is this possible? Say for example, I want to output a resolution of 800x480 to the monitor connected via the VGA cable.

Hi. the VGA out on the Axim can output nearly every resolution you can think about - not just VGA resolution.

BUT you need a driver - like Nyditot - to set the resolution. Nyditot gives you a control application with which you setup your video resolution. Have a look at their user manual here: Nyditot Virtual Display Help
