wierd x51v behavior regarding lock button

my x51v keeps auto locking itself... the lock switch will be down (disabled) but the screen / buttons will freeze up after awhile.

i will then have to toggle the switch on and toggle it off to make it work again and the cycle continues. sometimes i have to push the switch down really hard to make it work... which is kindof hurting my left index finger now...

anyone encountered such a problem before? is there a way to permanently disable the lock switch?

i am inclined to send this in for repair... as my warranty has expired. anyone know how much it will cost? anyone tried pdasmart before?

should i get a t6/t4? screw driver to open it up to take a look? I'm quite good with technical stuff.
