Sharing tips about battery life improvement on x50/v with wm5

Please share yours with us:

Let me start with tips I knew about and used:
1. FST(fake server trick).
2. turn off all alarms/reminders if possible.
3. reduce screen brightness level.
4. close all programs before stand-by, including activesync.

With the above tips, my wm5 x50v battery in standby mode only decreases by 6% overnight. However, when it's being used, battery decreases much faster, about 10% every 5 minutes. Appreciate your comments and sharing.

Things I'm not sure about:
1. CPU level setting?
2. does tweaks2k2 help in any way?

My experience with an X51V is that the two biggest battery users are CPU setting and Screen Brightness level. I leave my CPU setting on 'Auto' and my Screen Brightness level at '50%'. The next biggest battery user would be 'PIE' use then using 'TCPMP' to watch a movie. I resolved my battery users effect by simply getting an additional battery which is always in the charge/sync cradle ready for use. Both batteries are from Dell and are the standard ones at 1100. I do have another battery thats 2200 and use it only for extended trips where I do not have the use of AC to recharge my battery.
