Is it possible to increase volume levels on a X51V?

Is there a tweak or software program that is available to increase the standard volume levels on a X51v?

Thanks

I use a set of Sony ear buds that have a volume control and it will increase the max. volume on my X51V over what my standard iPod ear buds do.

I had same problem when I was to build my Aximizer.
When connecting Axim audio out to my car stereo I needed to play car stereo volume too high. It was too noisy and did not match car stereo radio volume.
I finally added an small preamplifier inside Aximizer.
Sorry, I do not think it could be internally or software hacked.

I don't know if they will increase overall system volume but the pre-amp settings in TCPMP, Coreplayer and other multimedia players definitely pumps up the volume when using those programs so an software pre-amp solution for your problem is possible.

Thanks for the info. I will have to check the preamp setting in TCPMP as that is the program that I need to increase the volume with :)

I don't know if this free application will work on your Axim, but it has worked on IPAQs pretty well:

Volume Control 1.8

Coreplayer contains a preamp that boosts default volume level. Menu/Tools/Preferences/Select Page/Audio. Beware blown speaker.

Volume Control 1.8

Volume Control 1.8 is a must have app for the x51v!!! Even though the app states not compatible on the handago site (see Julie's post above for link) it absolutely is! What a fantastic simplistic program for volume controll that overides the standard defaults levels in WM5/6. Every once in awhile a gem of program sparkles and this one for sure will catch your eye, go on give it a try your ears will thank you!
