Data getting corrupted with SD card

I'm trying to transfer my music collection to my 4gb sd card, but after like 3 or 4 songs, the rest become corrupt and only play the last few seconds of any given track ad nauseum. Every one. I've read in literature that transferring large amounts of data to an SD card can cause the card to fail. Is there any way to "fix" this "problem"?

I mean, I can transfer hundreds of megs of data to my USB jump/flash/travel drive and not have any problems. But this 4 gig SD card keeps giving me problems. Is this a problem with my card or SD cards in general?

I've tried using Activesync and a USB reader/writer to transfer the mp3s, but after the first few songs, the rest are all garbled and messed up as described earlier.

Edit: Yeah, this should probably be in the Hardware forums.

What brand is the card? It may be a fake. Are you tranferring to a folder on the card?

4gb sd cards are rare (at least legit ones), except for the sdhc kind, so it could be a possibility.

You're card is broken. There is no limit to the amount of data you can transfer so long as it doesn't exceed available storage.

Have you tried reformatting the SD card in your computer? That's what I would try first.
