Connecting to ISP wirelessly and with PPoE

Can anyone help me to explain how to connect to Internet with my AXIM x51v with WiFi conencting to WAP and then to Internet service provider with PPoE protocol.
I do it without problems with my notebook also with WiFi conenction under WinXP , but with WM 5.0 there is no option for this kind of connection.
Can anyone help me

I don't think I understand your question . . . but it seems related to my own problem: Why is the phone say "port disabled" when I try to pair my bluetooth verizon phone with my bluetooth Axim51x PPC?

I have no problem connecting with the internet when I am in a free wifi area . . . but I thought I could use my phone when free wifi is not available?

If I understand what you're saying... You want to use your phone as a bluetooth modem.

If this is correct, you need to make sure that your phone supports Bluetooth DUN (Dial Up Networking). I don't know the specifics of getting dial-up internet working through windows mobile, so I won't speculate on that part.

Just so you know... PPPoE is PPP Over Ethernet.

Back to the original post, if I understand your question, you're trying to use wifi to control a phone and tell it to dial up the internet over WAP/GPRS. This is something I've never come across before, however I /have/ come across the Bluetooth DUN (as mentioned above).

BT cellphone port remains closed

Thanks for the links to all the information, especially Ted's guide-

http://www.aximsite.com/bluetooth/

I can successfully follow all the directions up to the point after I pair my phone with the Axim51x, but get a message that the port is closed.

I'm not giving up tho' . . . it takes me a long time to figure things out, but it is usually worth it!

The verizon site isn't too helpful . . . once I get my car out of the shop I might have to take a field trip to the closest verizon shop and pester them! :hide:

Well, Verizon may have disabled this feature on your phone. They've done it in the past.....
