TCPMP and Playlists

I apologize for the stupid question, but I'm just not getting how to setup a playlist in TCPMP.

I've got several local stations I'd like to add to a playlist so I don't have to go to the online radio station webpage I discovered these stations on.

I appear to have a playlist file on my storage card but I can't seem to get stations to appear in the playlist.

If anyone uses playlist I really appreciate hearing from you.

I think you need to first save the radio station website as a favorite in Internet Explorer. Then open up TCPMP, select File > Playlist > File > Add Files > navigate to the \windows\favorites folder of the pocket pc and select the website(s) you just saved as favorite(s) (tapping OK after every selection). Then tap File > Save Playlist > name it whatever you wish > tap OK > Done.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, the station is a "clear channel" station so I don't think I can save it as a favorite. I'm not sure how to explain that but here's the link to the station listings I refering to:

The Mobile Stream Center - Listen to United States Radio Stations on your Pocket PC, Palm, Symbian-based handheld, Smartphone, PDA or other mobile device via Wi-Fi, GPRS or Bluetooth

The particular station I'm refering to is 93.3 FLZ (WFLZ) (Tampa, Top 40) WMP: PDA only

The PDA only stations act differently than the other non-PDA stations located on the site.

Okay, try this.....

Turn on WIFI and go out to the radio station that you want to listen to. While the radio is playing through TCPMP, select File > Playlist > you'll see WFLZ

Tap File > Save Playlist > you can using the down arrow next to GO to navigate to the specific folder where you want to store your playlists. Then name it whatever you wish > tap OK > Done.

This will save the radio station to its own playlist. When you want to listen to the radio station, turn on WIFI, open up TCPMP, tap File > Load PLaylist > tap the down arrow next to GO and navigate to your playlist folder, then tap the radio station > wait several seconds and the radio station should start playing.

Thanks so much.

Following your steps I was successful. Weirdly enough, the first station I saved on my storage card as a playlist (620 WDAE) worked great but 93.3 did not work. Then I noticed that for some reason the 93.3 would not automatically save with the .pls extension while the 620 station did. I didn't catch this at first and thought for about 10 minutes that I was still having problems because when I would click on the 93.3 file I made, it just gave me an error. But, I added the .pls extention and was all set.

Thanks again for your help. I think I was also getting confusing the "file" menu on the startup page for TCPMP and the "file" option that comes up AFTER you select "playlist."

One touch music here I come :approve:

I use this playlist editor made by the same person who made x50 mix.

It works great for making tcpmp playlists as well. The main purpose of the software was for wmp files, but when u put other formats that only tcpmp will play in the playlist, it still works fine.
