Instant lock for X51v?

If I want to wander away from my PC and not worry about prying eyes I can use CTRL+ALT+DEL to lock it in a second, and then it's not accessible again until I re-enter my password. I could do something similar with my trusty old Psion. Is there a shortcut I can use on my Axim to do the same thing? Have not found it so far if there is...

Thanks!

In WM2003SE there is a built in password program under Start > Settings > Personal tab > Password that lets you establish a password then you can set it to 0 minutes so that whenever you turn off your Ax you'll need the password to turn it back on. I'll have to look at some screen shots to see if it's in WM5 as well. BRB

I checked over at Chris DeHerrera's site PocketPC FAQ and saw the password option in the same space on WM5 as in WM2003SE so give that a try.

Dockware works...assign it to a button for quick launch or let the app lock the screen after 'x' time goes by. You can set a password and comes with an alarm...if removed from cradle before entering password, the alarm goes off.

Yep, that's how I use it when I need to.

I've tried that, but doesn't it also have the effect of causing the Axim to switch to the password screen by default after 1 minute of inactivity? That's a pain - I'm using it at work, docked and connected to my laptop, and I want it to be accessible all the time unless I am away from my desk, when I just want to be able to lock it in a quick and easy way.

it's a little easier if you have 2200mAH battery since you can simply 'pull' the battery out. With standard battery, I have to tap the AX on my wrist to jolt the battery loose.

I should have put this in the previous reply.
