I followed your instructions and I belived that it was working, but it stops loading on the blue dell screen about 7/8's of the way done can you help. I have tried everything I could think of. but

What rom were you running before you flashed the new rom? What rom were you trying to flash? I need to know this before I can give you a solution.

it was wm5 to wm6 when it went blank i followed your instructions, and now this is what i have it stops loading on the blue dell screen about 7/8's of the way done

Thanks for bringing back my x50v to life. It was lying in a corner unused for quite a while now...

anyway, thanks to all your suggestions, i have upgraded from 2003se to WM5 A01 version. I don't have my USB cradle to upgrade to A02 version from the dell site. Can you upload your .nb0 files at a different site than drivehq.com? I am not able to download from the following site.

I have no idea where my sync cable went
my X50v isn't bricked [yet]
would the A02 bootloader and rom that you provided work on just upgraded A01?

I am still checking on the bootloader. I know for certain that the os nb0 will NOT work on the X50v (you need to find your own os nb0 to flash A02. For now, try to find the sync cable and use that.

Steven. If you need help with publicftp, let me know. You can store your files there without fear of deletion, and more importantly, without cost for others to download. Having said that, it should be pretty self-explanatory.

ah, half way through I forgot it was for the X50
any one have anything that can take the X50v WM5 A01 to A02 without ActiveSync?
Ultimately I'm trying to go to WM6 A02

I might, but it's risky (you could permanently brick your axim). You mean Maglite's WM6 A03 rom, right? That's fine, but here would not be the place to discuss it. If Julie or any other moderator comes across this, don't delete it! This thread is too valuable.
