Web Browsing via Wi-Fi

I was able to browse the web somewhat reliably via Wi-Fi with my old X51v (A06 ROM) using either PIE or Opera. That X51v died, and I recently replaced it with a new one (A12 ROM). With the new one, web browsing is much worse with both PIE and Opera. Sometimes it works OK (like when I first start PIE and visit my homepage), but most of the time it just gets stuck and doesn't download any pages. During this "non-connect" time, I'm showing 4 bars on my Wi-Fi signal and my weather program is happily downloading weather data via my strong Wi-Fi connection - so it looks like the Wi-Fi connection is there - but I'm not able browse the web. I'm able to surf via this Wi-Fi connection with no problem with my laptop computer.

I've only had this 2nd X51v a short time, and its possible that there are some parameters I haven't set right. How can I get the best browsing experience over Wi-Fi with this X51v?

Disable Power save mode on the Main page of the WLAN Utility.

Make sure both dropdown lists on the Network Management page are set the same - I usually recommend 'My Work Network' as the best choice.
