Question Locking Up - Outlook Notes Problem

Whenever I select Start>Programs>Notes my X51v locks up & I have to do a soft reset. I get the same results if I press the record button on the side. I have tried doing a hard reset, but the problem persists.

Thanks is advance for any suggestions on what I should try next.

Rob

Hi lovellrob, welcome to Aximsite

If a hard reset has not fixed your problem, you may want to consider a ROM upgrade. You should be able to ascertain your current ROM version from the System Information application (Start > Settings > System (tab) > System Information).

You can see available downloads for your device via the DELL website.

:yeah: It's not something that I would normally recommend, but I'm glad that it worked.

The last Dell ROM upgrade (A12) generally fixed all of the previous issues for the X51V (at least at the WM5 level). The WM6 ROM floating around the internet is supposed to have increased the speed of the X51V and X50V units with a side effect of an even more stable unit that the A12 ROM level.

A12 didn't fix the screen corruption issues but the Wm6 ROMs did
