Help! - X50v completely spazzed up

My axim has worked fine ever since I bought it off ebay some months ago. Yeterday I was going through some of the files from the last owner, and one had something to do with 'se_vga', as well as a long string of letters before that. Now, despite hard and soft resets and changed batteries, it will only turn on with a few green lines on the screen. Nothing else. Could this be a virus? Has this happened to anyone else? The file is on internal memory, so I can't get to it, and it won't sync. to my computer. No idea what to do, and I really need it for Sunday. Thanks.
