Question File limit when using 32gb CF?

I was thinking of getting that 32gb CF card on Newegg, I'm having some issues though with my 8gb and 16gb SDHC cards. I put about 2,000 MP3's on the 8gb and about 3,000 on the 16gb cards and the x51v didn't see the MP3's. I installed the SDHC driver and it seems to work as the SD card shows up in file browser and I can see the folders, just no mp3's inside. I tried TCPMP and the Core player and neither one of those didn't see any of the MP3's either.

I haven't messed too much with it yet, but I was woundering if anyone else was having this problem too. I'm woundering if it's an SDHC issue, or WM issue or if by getting the 32gb CF will get it too see all the files or not.

It would be really nice to use my Axim as an 32gb MP3 player or 64gb when it comes out. They don't seem to sell too many MP3 players with that much memory anymore, except for gaypod.

Its definetly an sdhc issue. Sdhc cards were never supported by the x51 until that unofficial driver came out. I have only heard it works 100% with 4gb cards. Anything higher and it shows up fine but not all space is useable.

CF on the other hand works natively, without drivers. And if u look at the reviews on the newegg page, x51 owners say it works fine. WMP and TCPMP should be able to "see" files on a cf card, b/c this isnt an isssue with the media players its an issue with the driver not working 100% so the axim cant really read sdhc cards too well.

If you want to get a 32gb id suggest u go for it. I got an 8gb a while ago, that is before they lowered the price of the 16gb and before they introduced the 32gb (stupid post-purchase syndrome :laugh) but even 8gb is nice to have. Besides if i wait to buy until a lower price comes, id be waiting forever, b/c flash memory will just keep getting cheaper. These axims are media machines with tcpmp, and all they need is some storage space.

I agree with you. I have an 8gb CF card and the only thing on it are movies, pictures, ebooks and pdf files.
