No, I wasn't using -nosplit. It wasn't mentioned in your Step #6 above. Are there any other options/switches I need to know about?
Thanks

OK, using -nosplit worked. But if I understand correctly, all we can really change are the single files listed (which seem to all end up in \Windows on the Axim). All the folders are modules which you say we shouldn't touch.
What if we want to add a program which is usually installed via a cab and which changes parts of the registry? Can we do that here? Is that what's in the modules with their mysterious S001, S002 and other cryptic files (is that the info to change the registry)?

I said don't mess with the modules UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING! As for the registry, I'm still working out a few kinks and then I will add it to my tutorial. I will post a program that can extract cab files later.

Yes, this should be a sticky.
I want to delete Word Mobile and Excel Mobile. Are there files other than the EXE files that I can delete. I also want to get rid of AdobeLE off of Lenney's rom. I suppose there are some registry entries that need to change--others have asked, but I will also ask, how can I dig those up and change them too? Thanks for these tools. What fun.
