disable no wireless connection warning?

When I have my wireless turned off, I continue to get popup warnings that there is no connection available. Is there a way to turn this off?

Thanks, it was the email set to check every 5 minutes, turned that off and the constant connection warning is gone, thanks!

This is caused by a program trying to connect for an update. The email program is a common reason and you would need to change the setting to not automatically check for new email.

Also, make sure you've really closed internet oriented applications, like internet explorer, so they are not running in the background.
