16Gb SDHC card working on my Axim !!

OK, I just posted on the other thread how the SDHC to CF II adaptor from the Ebay vendor Gigacity and A-Data 16gb SDHC class 6 card is working fine on my Axim running WM 2003SE. I just wanted to start this thread if others want to do it too. I can post some copy and paste times if requested.
I don't work for Gigacity, here is a link to the adaptor (see below)

Axim sees card as a 15.3GB Cf card. I'm able to copy and paste and create folders. Next thing to do is video playback with the Core Player. The card is FAST, really fast.

yeah if they made a sd to micro sd to leave the CF slot open this would be a great solution.

If you buy a 16gig CF card you have the same thing I think.

Were you able to put,at least, 7 gb of data on a 16 gb card?Well I hope you and other test that solution lot more.If more than three Aximsite regular user get positive result, I will buy my self one.

I've never tested it myself but there are a lot of guys that report working 8GB sdhc working fine (with updated 5.2 ROM), using the SD slot. So, I believe that it should work too for 16 GB SDHC. It looks like to be a default feature of Windows Mobile 6.

Have anyone tested if that card work on the Axim x30 SD slot.I hope someoen try to see if the Axim x30 recognize SDH and accept 8 gb memory.

I got 8GB SDHC working with my x51v in SD slot. No problems at all.

I will try to fill it up with more video and music files. I've got about 4gb in there now. Playback with the Core player is smooth. I've not encountered any problems yet. Music playback is normal too.
I didn't want to go with a 16gb CF I card because the axim slot is CF II and didn't want any gap for dust to get into.
Looks like I'll be holding into my x50v for a while longer. I was thinking about that new HP series 200 unit with the vga screen. I sure would love to boot to WM6, but WM200SE is fine. All my apps are running just fine.
My next test will be to load All of the US and Canada maps from Iguidance and see if there are any delays in calculating and rerouting. No more loading maps in bits and pieces.

What are you running? I thought SDHC was not supported in any Axim.
There have been work on some Roms, but I thought the limit was still 4gb (might as well track down a regular 4gb SD card).

It took me a while to figure out what that last comment meant. :-) . Not up with the lastest anymore. I'm not ready to start those kind of experimentations just yet.There are a bunch of x50v Axims on Ebay and that may be an option to run some non-vanila roms, but my Axim is running perfect now. Got lots of room and all is well at this point. My only concern is not having youtube on my axim. That would be fantastic once the next mobile browsers are out.

Let me know if anyone else has the CF adapter with SDHC running. I read somewhere of a 32gb sdhc card .... here we go again. How much is too much?

What about the people using an X30.... Well I guess the X30 can't use SDHC cards...

Have a 16GB SDHC in a Secure Digital to Compact Flash adapter off of ebay. Works fine on X50v with windows mobile 2003.:approve:

Just wanted to add to the list. Why SD you might ask? So when I get the stones (and time) to upgrade to an O.S. that can take advantage of the SDHC I can then get a 32 or hopefully 64 gig CF card and move this 16gb over to its proper slot.
