Question Is it possible to view webcam on x51v

Is there any software that lets me view what my webcam sees on my x51v via wifi?

Hardware I have:

D-link 4300 router

It is possible, but not via a direct connect. You must connect the camera to a Windows maschine, and then stream the video to your Axim. Fx. use MS Windows Media services for streaming from the PC, see more information here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...dinfo2008.aspx

So I guess I can't use that software on Windows XP. It says download for Windows Server 2008. :(

I remember there was this software that let you view your PC desktop in real time on the PPC. It was some kind of remote control application. You could control your PC with a PPC. Too bad there isn't something similar for webcams.

Webcam

You could always set the Webcam to ftp to a website and then view the website with the Axim. Although I'm not sure how it would display in the browser.

Sorry, you are right. But no probleme, then you need the "old" version - Windows Media Encoder - It works with XP and Vista. You'll find it here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...r/default.mspx
