Problems with CLauncher on X51v

Hello Everyone, I just got my x51v yesterday.

I installed Clauncher V12.04 so I would have some shortcut icons on my today screen. Well, I don't think it installed right. The tabs and icons look very small, and the icons are only showing 1/4 of the actual icon.

Has anyone installed this on an X51v? Are there any other softwares that will do a similar job?

i use cLaunch use the "options" button "sytem" tab and "settings" button to fix.
This is the program I like so far. Ilauncher is a good program but not free.
I don't know how to make cLaunch look better but it works for me.

You will also notice i don't have tabs. just uncheck all the tabs but the main one under "options" button "main" tab
You might use more icons than me. I still have to add some programs after my last reflash, but two rows has worked fine for me, 16 shortcuts with my settings.

hmmm....I can't get to most of that, it is like it is not showing all the options, like the screen is not set up right. It is cutting a lot of stuff off.

How do I make a screen shot that I can post?

Two things,

Blur2u, did you do a soft reset after installing the program? Sometimes that is all a program needs to get it running properly, like rebooting your PC after installing something.

yeah, I tried a soft reset. It didn't help. I uninstalled it for now. Not sure what is going on with it. It is clipping some of the graphics for the clauncher. I am installing Ilauncher demo right now.

Also how do I post those little linked images that way I don't have to take up so much space when I post an Image?

The little linked images are attachments, you will find a section "manage attachments" in the user control panel.
However, each attachment is an added burden on the servers for the site.
What you are doing, using photo bucket, is the better way. If you find the image is too big, you can resize it in photobucket, or on your computer before uploading it to photobucket.

Hosh, based on your posted screen, it appears you are using version 12.03 of cLauncher. This works fine on VGA devices, but does not use VGA resolution. Some implications of this will be that your background today screen image will not look correct when it goes through the cLaunch part of the screen (as yours doesn't) and the icons will be low-res.

The currently available version, 12.04, does not function well on VGA screens. It has impossibly small text and the option screens are misaligned. This has been mentioned elsewhere on Aximsite.

My advice for Blur2U:
1. Try and find version 12.03 somewhere; as long as the low-res does not bother you (it doesn't bother me or Hosh apparently), it works great,
or
2. Wait for the bug-fix to the recently poster 12.04
or
3. Try alternate launchers (several free ones are excellent and VGA compatible, but not tabbed ones, e.g. Launcher Scott's CE Applications)

I figured it was something to do with VGA. Thanks for the answer. I will try Ilauncher, if I like it I will just buy it.....rather have one for free but that's fine. Does anyone know if ILauncher is VGA? It looks like it is, but I couldn't find anything about it stating it was.

I have a x51v and am having the same problems as BLUR2U. I really want to user claunch. It is hard to believe that claunch won't work well with VGA devices since it is such a popular program. I will contact the developer and see if there is any new updates planned to address this issue.

I am just going to keep using 12.03 for now. 12.04 would look better but when I just installed it I got the same problems as you. If you can't find 12.03 let me know and I can try and email it to you.

Unless of coarse you just cant stand the QVGA.

Ilauncher has great VGA support. It may not be free you but it's a great investment. :approve: Download a trial and see if you like it. Here's the link: SBSH Mobile Software - Making smaller bigger

I'm also having the same problems with version 12.04 on my x51v. So, I reverted back to 12.03 with the vga claunch.dll found from the link on the first post of this thread:

That dll fixed the claunch transparency issues on my x51v.
