x51v can't connect to treo 750 wm6 for internet
I have been trying to get my Axim X51v to Bluetooth (tether) to my treo 750 with the updated WM 6 with internet sharing. After reading several threads on this site, I discovered that it was not possible with current configuration. So I updated the Axim to the A12 and downloaded the BroadcomBluetoothStackX51V05 and installed it. Did the pairing and the pan network setup and all connected, but no internet. Tried several tweaks to no avail. Finally thought I would try footballs version of WM 6 for the Axim x51v thinking it would solve the problems, but was wrong. Went ahead and installed the BroadcomBluetoothStackX51V05 on Axim, but does the same thing as before. I know it can work I think, because when I disconnect the Axim, the internet share also diconects on the treo. I did test the Bluetooth on my laptop using the widcomm 1.4 I believe with the treo 750 and works like a champ, so I know it’s not the phone. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I would start by making sure you can use your palm to tether with a notebook computer. Maybe you already did and just didn't mention it. That would probably involve a cable betweent the palm and the notebook.
You'll at least have to install the att connection software, but that's easy. I do it with a bb curve all the time and internet works great.

With WM6 you don't need the third party BT stack, so if you plan on checking that (although discussion of it isn't allowed) then you'll be fine without the extra stack.
If sticking with WM5, have you checked that the connection strings you're sending to the palm are correct? I had a similar issue and it turned out that there were a few settings wrong on the phone I was trying to connect with.

Interesting, the Treo 750 only has the internet share through bluetooth pan, no dun, thats why i was looking for somthing compatable with the pan network, thats why i did the upgrade

wow. I thought they [Palm] would have learned their lesson after the 650 debacles.
They still don't have dun built in to the base release? With the 650, we had to unlock them, then update the firmware, then wait for the moon to line up with venus on a clear night.
