Big Smile Axim X50V with WM6 and working awsome!

Ok so this is my first post but i have owned an axim x50v since the first became available. I loved Windows2003se and my axim became a really useful tool, (I was working as a Real Estate agent at the time) I was very disappointed in the WM5 upgraded and therefore I started using a Treo 650, and then a Treo 700p and eventually upgraded to a Treo 700wx with WM5. As I "retired" from real estate (read: had to get a real job) LOL! I no longer wanted to pay for my data package which was an extra $80 a month. So I went back to using a normal phone and my axim. However WM2003SE is way outdated so I first tried the WM5 Upgrade which was a disaster even with all the ROM updates it was not satisfactory so I downgraded back to 2003SE. I thought that perhaps I would have to find another handheld however I love the Axim Features. I was able to find the "unofficial" WM6 rom and have been working with it and am happy to say that the performance is leaps and bounds better than WM5 I have not tried it with and GPS programs but my other programs work fine. Will update you all as I test the rom more. Thanks

Just out of curiosity, is this still the case considering the Axim is no longer supported by Dell?

Yes....

Policy was written after Dell withdrew from the market.
