I need your help right away...x51v or 128Mb upgrade.

I have a x50v that I love but wish it had more memory for "today" programs.
I sometimes can get ~30 Mb for running programs (using memmaid).
I can buy the extra mem chip for ~$169 or get a used x51v in great condition for $225 (if I hurry).
Please give me your advice.
Does the x51v improve the number of programs I can run at the same time compared to the x50v?
I also heard that the operating system upgrade and sdhc compatibility is more straightforward with the x51v.

Get the X51v and then consider the memory upgrade later. The 51 is a much better unit if you decide to upgrade the ROM or the memory. I have both and gave the 50 to my wife.

Applications can also be run from the CF or SD card slots. I have a 16gb CF and a 16gb SDHC card in my X51V. I have over 10gb of movies on my CF card and over 10gb of music, pics, pdfs, excel and word files plus all of my mp3s. The X51V works great as a multi media unit due to its VGA screen, memory and external memory storage. Get the X51V

Just to confuse the issue, he already has an X50v so the added bonus of a VGA screen for multimedia stuff isn't really much different from what he already has... and in terms of today apps etc, you aren't going to get that much extra free memory.

If outright speed/memory is what you want the X50v will be faster...

I'd get the x51v myself. Even if you sell your x50x for $100., you're ahead on money with a better unit.
