High density cards on x51v/w wm6 football edition?

I just patched my x51v with the wm6 football rom. But, im curious now. Which brands, and what capacities of Compact flash, and Secure digital cards will i be able to run ?

I'd LOVE to be able to get a 32 gb compact flash card in this thing.
think that will be possible?

I'm sorry, but that question cannot be answered here, have a look at the link below for the reason why.

The 32 GB CF card should work in most recent pocket pcs and you should be able to use one in an Axim that is running a legal ROM (windows mobile 2003 or WM5.0)

The site you downloaded your update ROM from should have a message board that would field your question. Discussions on this message board on WM6 issues is not allowed per the boards policy's. If you would like to private message me I may be able to give you some of my experiences. :approve:

Aye, WM6 isn't discussed here.

32Gb CF cards are supported natively though, even in WM5, so you shouldn't have an issue (I wouldn't think).

I think that since WM6 supports SDHC card, the max size is 16gb.

And hopefully 64gb someday. B/c in about 5yrs or less, when 64gb cards are cheap, and the x50 is well obsolete, it could still be used as an mp3/movie player.

Even with 32gb cards nowadays.

I agree....I have not read of compatibility problems with CF cards - they seem to be fairly stable and standard. It is the SD cards that seem to present the most problems.

Well that depends on the Speed and Brand name of the card. Sandisk is expensive Adata and Transcend are considerably cheaper.

This is what I use. Newegg.com - Transcend 8GB Compact Flash (CF) Flash Card Model TS8GCF133 - Retail:approve::approve:

It's $36.99. Excellent!! :approve::approve:
