New guy with question

Hello, new guy here! I'm awaiting the arrival of my X50v. Here are my plans for it.

I use spreadsheets everyday at work and will view and do minor editing throughout the day. I hope to be able to access my company email (exchange server) with it. A little multimedia here and there. MP3's Movies Ect.

My question is- Is there a program that can allow me to view .snp files?
I recieve "work orders" via email in .snp format. It wold be a BIG help if I could get these in the field.

Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!:approve:

Great site! I'm doing a LOT of reading now.....

If you aren't in a hurry, SoftMaker is developing "DataMaker"--their database software program. Right now they have the windows version in development but they generally work on pocket pc versions thereafter. It might be a little while before the ppc version appears, but their software is very good--PlanMaker and TextMaker have been great on my Axim

Welcome to Aximsite, cmanningjr! If you're going to be editing spreadsheets on your PDA, then you might want to try SpreadCE. It is worth twice the price and IMO there is no substitute for it as far as a Pocket Excel (a pathetic program, IMO) replacement. You can pretty much do the same editing and formatting on your PDA with SpreadCE that you can with the desktop version of Excel. Pocket is so limited, it's a joke.

I do not think this person was asking about a spreadsheet replacement. The type of file they wanted to be able to access are 'screen shot' files.

He did mention using spreadsheets. I have used SpreadCE myself, and it is much more versatile than the pack-in Pocket Excel. As far as the .snp question goes, I believe that was answered.

So, Welcome, cmanningjr, to our fair forums.
