Automatically turns on?

Okay, I've looked through the menus and can't figure out how to make it stop doing this. It just automatically turns itself on every few minutes and kills the battery. Where is the setting for this? Thanks!

Jen

btw, it's an Axim X51.

I would try a hard reset, which will remove all of your data so make sure you so a sync prior to doing the hard reset. Not sure which unit you have but generally speaking a hard reset will solve most issues so long as your unit has the latest ROM update installed for it from Dell.

Before you do a hard reset, take a look to see what programs you have installed. Is there something that checks for data/news, etc. periodically? Did this problem just start, or has it always been like this? If it just started, consider the programs you have recently installed and try uninstalling them.

Have you performed the so called dummy server hack to prevent ActiveSync from turning on in regular intervals and attempt to sync?

If her Axim is turning on when in the cradle or connected via a UBS cable it shouldn't drain the battery. I sounds like her Axim is tuning on when it isn't in the cradle hence draining the battery. When it turns on is there some kind of notification? When it is turned off it should only turn its self on if there is some kind of notification. Notification will keeping turning it on until they are turned off.

Ahhh, thanks you guys! It was my email trying to connect. (I think) I just deleted that account and we'll see in the morning if it's still off. Usually it would have turned back on by now, so I think that did it. Awesome!
