How long does an Axim last?

My Axim X50v is just over two years old and seems to be on its last legs. My previous pda, an HP Ipaq 5500 lasted about two years. Is this about as long as one can expect of a pda?

how is it on its last legs? The hard ware buttons on mine have stopped working due to a drop but it's still very functional as I never really used the hardware buttons, it just means I can't use it for games. It's also been soaked whilst being in a back pack by a torrential rain fall. My Axim X50v is over 3 years old :)

Mine lasted 3 years then developed problems with the battery circuit. That might have been my fault, tho.

My x51v is from the distant future, the only reason that I have it is because it was sent back in the past to kill Sarah Connor and to prevent the birth of her son, unfortunately it was plagued with Dell support and WM5 issues that prevented it from achieving it's mission, which is how it ended up in my hands, still though it's a great piece of hardware and should be active for the next 300 million years or so....

Mine is now running on it's 3 year - I'm using it every day, and until now it had worked without problems at all.

I have a X51V which is over 2 years old last October. Works great with WM5 A12 or any other newer WM6 ROM.

After two years of heavy usage I've only noticed missing feet which happened right away and a broken dongle which I had to replace. the screen starting to show wear and tear.

Mine has almost reached 2 1/2 years, but I've had huge problems with hardware buttons as well. Doesn't matter as much to me though. Still fine for GPS, etc.

I have both a X50 and an X50v. Both over 3 years old and working like the day I got them. Both are "almost" as good looking today as new. This is why I'm sad that Dell "axed" the Axim. If treated well they should last a good long time.
