extract info from backups ???

everyone says the backups from the wm5 program stinks...

fine.. is there any way to extract contacts, emails and notes from the backups? any hackers manage that yet instead of this alternative firmware jazz

I use Spb Backup application. It does a complete OS backup and every thing in between. It works with WM5 and WM6 on my X51Vs. :approve:

If you use Sprite Backup there is a download for Sprite Explorer. This program allows access to portions of your backup although I'm not sure if contacts and email are part of the available access. It's a free download on the web site page above, under the heading "downloads". If you have a Sprite backup try the Explorer to see if you can get what you want.

Both sprite and spb backup can extract files from the backup, I have had more problems extracting the files from sprite though so prefer spb.
