I flash ROMs for personal use base on speed and stability. Makuu has VoIP features embedded but I do not need those. Lenny's A09 may not be the newest one for x50v, but it is fast and stable. If you need the slew of software Makuu has, flash that.

ROMs are not really flashed based on how much experience you have with ROMs. You have the one that best suits your need.

Makuu has VoIP and software pre-installed. Lenny has speed. It's that simple.

thats good, i need speed... guess i should go for LennySh rom... but just to clearify with you, mind x50v now is running wm2003se, as per the instruction u give me, i just need to download LennySh wm6 roms then flash it?
i'm in doubt due to read somewhere saying that i need to have wm5 or something b4 i can flash to wm6.
please help.

I apologize, I should have asked you what your current ROM was before we started.

You do need to flash WM5 first before you can flash WM6.

Let's start from the beginning, disregard anything that Read Me file as now, because I was under the assumption that you already have WM5. You preferably should have Windows XP and Activesync installed and synced for this to work. If you have Windows Vista or Windows 7 and Windows Mobile Device Center installed, we would have to this the hard way.

To start off, you need to back up all personal data files and settings. Most programs cannot be backed up because of their registry use. You can do things manually by syncing your Axim and copy+pasting all files to your computer. Or you can use shareware (I can't think of any freeware, sorry) such as SPB Backup. SPB has a trial that you can install and uninstall later.

After that, tell me what Operating System you are using on your PC (XP, Vista, or Win 7) so we can continue.

done backing up all my data... which is not much :p

Now download the Axim WM2003SE to WM5 A01 for x50v. Sync your Axim via Activesync and extract the file.

Now run AximUpdate.exe. Follow directions as prompted. If you need any help during the process, just post here.
