What to do if WM6 upgrade fails?

I too am considering upgrading my X51V, WM5 to WM6.1 .

Which ROM version would you recommend for me?
my first priority would be stability and compatibility to the applications that I have installed.

RE: compatibility - most apps that run OK on WM5 should also run fine on WM6, but there are exceptions.
I've been going through my apps carefully and visiting vendors sites to find out.

Some notables that have WM6 specific versions:
- Pocket Informant
- Pocket Mechanic
- Wisbar Advance 3

I'm sure there are others... but most application installers seems to be divided up between WM2003/2003SE and WM5/6

This really helps me a lot, and I share your view about preferring a ROM version that is "cleaner".
