Aximsitex50icon maglite installation

Hello everybody,
I am trying to install wm6 maglite edition on my x50v currently running wm2003se. I need step-by-step instructions to do this because I'm totally lost.
Any help would be appriciated.

1) upgrade to WM5 with the official DELL upgrade (need to purchase or some other means)
2) update to WM5 A02 free to download from Dell
3) Then update to WM6 (I would Highly recommend using the 0 pagepool version as I have tested all of them, this is the fastest and most stable)

The maglite site gives links to download A01. The files are nb0 and crc. What do I do with them?

Put them on a clean formatted SD card, hold down the wireless, power button and keep pushing in the reset button on rear until you get a basic blue screen with SD rom found kinda message, hit the middle of the d-pad button to start flash running...this is fiddly and sometimes tricky to get working so don't give up

couldn't you just plug it into a card reader w/ usb, then connect it to any Windoze box and do a properties? That should tell you the format, and you can do whatever needs to be done if it's not f32.

After doing as bernardm advised I have found that my sd card was not fat32 (it was a cheap one after all). Could anyone reccomend an sd card formatted to fat32?

In windows explorer, right click on the sd card icon and there should be an option to format in the list that appears. Click on this and choose FAT32, then quick format the card.

However, the WM6 rom with 0mb pagepool is uncertain. Its results, as I have heard from reading vary from axim to axim.

On fairly large SD cards(2 GB or even just 1 GB), the SD Image Loader only seems to be able to read the first few megabytes of space. Thus, if you have a SD card with plenty of data loaded on already and then plop on the ROM files, they won't be detected.

The only certain way around it that I know of is a reformat to totally clear the storage space, and then the copying of the ROM files BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE to make sure they get into the area of storage that the SD Image Loader can read.
