I agree it should be a sticky. At some time or other all X51V users will run into this if the capacitor stops holding a charge. I have been using this little application since it was first suggested by its author. :approve:
My Axim lost date and time on a total battery discharge last weekend and I just noticed today it loses date and time on battery changes too.
This is a very useful application for this problem. Thanks a lot.
I downloaded your zip file but can't get it to run. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!
Need a little more information (we can't read minds ) How did you try to run it? Are you using a zip program to unzip it first? Are you trying to run it on your PDA or or your pc?

Step 1) remove the cab file from within the zipped file to your local pc hard drivee (remembering its down load location).
Step 2) Copy the cab file to your Pocket PC either directly using the ActiveSync Explore application or place the cab file onto a CF or SD memory card.
Step 3) Locate the file on your Pocket PC or the CF or SD memory card with the Pocket PC File Explorer and tap the application with your stylus to start the install process.
Thats pretty much it. :approve:

When you do step 1, which winzip action do you do? Extract? I followed what you said but my PDA said that it did not recognize the file extension. Please help.
1. Press download, and save to anywhere
2. Sync your Axim and copy+paste it onto the main memory of your Axim.
3. Using File Explorer on your Axim (Found in Programs), double-tap the .cab file.
4. Follow instructions

Excellent simple solution, works perfect. Thanks to this program I solved this issue in 2 minutes. Thanks. I still going to have to think about replacing internal battery but I have time to do so.
