Messaging on WM6.1 (x5.1v)

I think I got the internet explorer to work on my littleDELL with WM6.1
Now, the problem is messaging.
It won't let me open a new account for some reason.
here what I do to try to open a new account:
Start/messaging/tap-setup e-mail/menu/tools/tap-new account.../ nothing happens.
Can some one help me with this???
What am I doing wrong??
