Question Poll: How often do you Hard Reset your Ax?

I just wonder how often active Ax users do a Hard Reset.

Is it in response to a problem, or more preventative?

Less often after upgrading to wm5/wm6 from wm2003se?

Haven't ever done it and don't plan on it unless I have to due to a soft reset not fixing any problem it might have. Mine is working just fine with daily use for over a year and a half. I use SKTools to clean up junk files and reformat my storage cards from time to time, but- knocking on wood- no need to do a hard reset as of yet. BTW, I'm prepared in the event I need to do one- I use Sprite Backup to do daily backups.

Are you asking about Hard Reset!!?

Your poll might make more sense if you mean Soft Reset, but then again I guess you know what you are asking.

I have Hard reset all my devices several times for one reason or another, but unless I've had a problem or been installing a new ROM or ROM update it's more like "less than once per year".

I've done it once, and I can't exactly remember why. I think I installed something, and then uninstalled it, but the program left traces of itself on the device that slowed it down or something, think it might have been trial-ware.

I upgraded my x51v to footballs ROM and have only needed to soft reset once in over a month, and I use it daily.

I've only hard reset mine twice in 3 years, both for ROM upgrades. From your post, it sounds like you mean soft reset but maybe we're reading between the lines.

Not since my last ROM upgrade. It's been a long time. Before that I did it a few times while messing around with some VPN software that wasn't uninstalling correctly.

Pretty much the same here. I did a hard reset shortly after I bought my AX just to see what should happen. None since. :approve:

Only three times in the two years I've had it. Once early on to try it and practice restoring from a backup; once to clean out a software program that messed it up; and once (well a few times, really) to clean it out when I sent it back for warranty replacement.

I guess once a year to clean everything off, although I am going on a 2 year stretch this time. I use spb backup at night, so I soft reset automatically at night. Works great!

Doing a hard reset is required when finishing a ROM flashing. Other then that I do not do one, my unit is extremely stable since going to WM6. Hugh increase in speed also.
