Question Ethernet CF compatibility?

I have been looking at a targus PA610U CF ethernet card, but it seems to be an older model designed for CE.
No mention of driver support for WM5/6.
Will this work with my WM5 Axim x51v?

In general are CE devices/drivers usable in later WM versions?

Any help most appreciated.

I wouldn't count on an ethernet card working without drivers for your OS. My Socket card would only work with my X51v after they released new drivers.

That was what I was afraid of, Ike.
The card I am looking at is the Targus OEM version of the Socket Low power CF card.
I am wondering what the odds of the Socket drivers working with the Targus card are (If the hardware is the same, would the drivers work even though it is marketed under a different brand name?)

If you are sure the hardware is the same, then it's likely the Socket drivers will work. People used Socket drivers for the Symbol WiFi CF card (although Socket later came out with a new hardware version and the driver for their new card did not work with the Symbol (or the old Socket, for that matter)).

It's been a while since I looked through Socket's site but I remember they had three versions of Ethernet CF hardware and separate drivers for each. I'm not sure they released WM5 drivers for all three so do some research before committing.
