Autoarchiving inbox

Hi,

On my desktop pc, my Outlook inbox is getting huge. I've seperated emails into about 30 folders but even then each folder contains a large amount of emails. I sync about 15 of these folders to my axim. However, I don't need really old emails to be synced to my pda, but I still want to have those emails on my desktop pc. Could I autoarchive the entire inbox and all it's subfolders such that only emails that are 60 days are shown in the normal inbox and synced to my axim, and all older emails are sent to an archived inbox. Does Outlook handle this well? Thanks.

Well, you would have to just archive old e-mails, remember all OLD e-mails will go into a separate PST file (Personal Folder) therefore you would have two inboxes, two out boxes, two of each folder, one in Personal Folder, one in Personal Archive Folder.

Easiest way to achieve this is to set up Auto Archive, and set it to archive every 7 days, to archive anything that is older than 60 days.

Then, just synch the one in your personal folder, not the archived folder, and it should be fine.
