If you were to point out to 5 or so things in 10 minutes to an owner of Axim X50v WM2003SE...

like crash course them explaining:
* what are the basic possibilities...
* what are crucial vital applications to get... with direct links to .cabs or so...
* what hardware to get...
* and etc...

Maybe we could make a quick guide to a new owner dropping in who does not want to spend researching and reading...

if everyone adds a bit - and we gather the knowledge it can be a great resource and something informative for everyone...

so for my post:

=general use=
* I use my Axim X50v Pocket PC for video and audio playback...

=software=
* I just use the TCPMP player ( http://www.mobilitysite.com/boards/1...20-post30.html ) and watch regular .avi and .mp3 files...
* I also highly recommend getting a "taskbar" like program so you can close/minimize/open programs - the one that I know of is WisBar - but I hope someone will correct me if there is a better one...

=hardware=
* I got a
Newegg.com - Transcend 4GB Secure Digital (SD) Flash Card Model TS4GSD150 - Flash Memory card for it as it's one of the few 4GB SD cards that avoids the need for device to support SDHC
* and I just got Newegg.com - A-DATA 16GB Compact Flash (CF) Flash Card Model SPEEDY CF 16GB - Flash Memory hope it will be good
* and of course I highly highly recommend always having a screen protecting layer on - they are cheap and you will avoid having a permanent nasty scratch...

I agree with you, Gigi's thread is the correct place for a beginner to start. After that just do a 'search' of this sites threads on any subject. If what you want to know about does not appear them ask away. There are great people on this site that are more than willing to share their personal experiences with applications and their units.
